Release Notes steadyPRINT 7.5.4

steadyPRINT features, additions and bug fixes in version 7.5.4

Features & Additions Description
steadyPRINT Center: Whitelist for organizational units to restrict the Active Directory tree view As of version 7.5.4 the Active Directory tree and the steadyPRINT Center search can be restricted via a whitelist. This is to ensure that only defined/desired organizational units and containers from the Active Directory are visible and that the search for users/computers/groups/organizational units can only be performed within these defined units and containers.
Bug Fixes Description
steadyPRINT Center: Tree search separates search term with spaces The Center separates the search term into several search terms with contained spaces and uses them for the actual search for objects. This behavior has been adjusted so that the search term can now only be used as a whole.
steadyPRINT Center: No sorting of monitoring profiles in drop-down-list The drop-down lists for the selection of monitoring profiles in the field of printer monitoring have not been sorted. They are now available for selection in a sorted order.
steadyPRINT Center: Report designer|UserName is not saved When creating a custom report, the indication of a database user is required. However, when saving the report the user was discarded and the report could not be opened again at the next start.

This problem has been fixed.

steadyPRINT Center: Scaling the tree view with 4k screen incorrect This problem has been fixed.
steadyPRINT ClientHost: ClientHost stops with exception “No valid TEMP path found for the logfile.” If the user environment variable TEMP is not set for the current login context, this leads to the exception “No valid TEMP path found for the logfile.” and the Agent will no longer work.

This problem has been fixed.

steadyPRINT Service: BranchOffice printer does not take over port properties from print server properly The steadyPRINT service is responsible for the creation of a BranchOffice printer and its dependencies, as e.g. the printer port. A port (printer port) is created on the print server with a name and a separate IP address. These settings are taken over by the service when creating the BranchOffice printer.

If, however, the permissions on the print server are missing in order to read out the extended port information including the IP address, the port for the properties of name and IP address is respectively assigned with the port name. If the name, however, does not map a pure IP address, the BranchOffice printer will not work properly.

This problem has been fixed.
