Error during printing – module could not be found (fixed in version 7.5.2)

Known Issue Version 7.5.1

Description of the problem

After the installation and setup of steadyPRINT, I would like to print a document via steadyPRINT VPD.

Having selected the VPD printer in the vPrinter window, the printout does not come out of the specified printer. The print job is rejected. Printing via a network printer is performed without any problem.

What do I have to do in order to ensure that the VPD printer processes the print job correctly?

Solution

This error might occur when the Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable Package has not been installed. These packages are used in order to install runtime components of Visual C++ libraries to a computer. The libraries are used to run applications that have been developed by means of the corresponding version of Visual Studio.

In order to enable printing via steadyPRINT VPD, the following step is necessary:

  • Installation of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable Package in x64 or x86, depending on the operating system architecture.
