VPD – Known Issues

This article describes known issues related to steadyPRINT VPD and possible Solutions.

The steadyPRINT VPD printer uses its own printer driver (steadyPRINT Virtual Printer Driver). In some cases, graphical problems might occur on the printout. In the following you will find different problem descriptions and the appropriate Solutions.


Printout with hieroglyphs

Dependent on the manufacturer driver and device, the graphical presentation of the printed document might be incorrect. To solve this problem, proceed as follows:

  1. First, open the printer properties of the affected printer on the print server and click the tab “Extended”.
  2. Adjustment of printing features: Disable the function “Enable extended printing features”.

Printing from Adobe Reader incorrect

When printing a document from Adobe Reader, the printed document might be displayed incorrectly. For solving this problem, proceed as follows:

  1. First, select the extended printer properties of steadyPRINT vPrinter in the Adobe Reader printing Dialog.
  2. Then enable „Print as image“.
