Features & Additions	RAW-Printing	With steadyPRINT complicated print management solutions can be outsourced from special systems such as SAP, Agfa ORBIS, IBM System i (also known as AS/400, eServer iSeries or System i5), DATEV etc. Benefit from the simple and intuitive administration in the steadyPRINT Center and the steadyPRINT Reliability. The RAW content is sent to the printer via passthrough. The steadyPRINT VPD technology enables you to use additional features in the further processing of the data, such as duplex printing and many more.
Features & Additions	Share/Management of Private Workflows	With the new version private workfows can be shared with employees in the company. A workflow can be created by different persons and made available for others. This way it is no longer necessary that the administrator creates and shares all workflows via the steadyPRINT Center.
Features & Additions	Group Batches	steadyPRINT offers the possibility to store documents in a batch in order to process them later. With the new version each user can convert his/her individually created batch into a group batch and share it with an unlimited number of users via the steadyPRINT Agent. This way, documents such as invoices can be jointly collected, edited and printed. Moreover, group batches can also be integrated into a workflow so that certain processes run automatically – share and print an invoice, send it by mail, etc.
Features & Additions	Location-based Load Balancing	After the introduction of Load Balancing in steadyPRINT 8.0, the new release now allows to control print servers of a specific location, resulting in a smooth distribution of the print load and a relief of the WAN routes. However, in order to ensure maximum availability of your printing environment, backup groups can be defined so that print jobs are redirected to another location and processed there in case all print servers at one location fail.
Features & Additions	Live Logging	Massive relief for your support / helpdesk! With the new Live Logging you can monitor all components of the steadyPRINT environment live in the steadyPRINT Center and evaluate logs at any time. Support no longer needs to be connected to the client and the user no longer needs to be present when troubleshooting.
Features & Additions	New installer incl. parallel installation	Thanks to the parallel installation, the new installer allows you to conveniently design updates without downtime and perform them out-of-the-box. This ensures that your environment is available around the clock. Simply update the components during operation.
Features & Additions	Workflow template for backup printer	The Backup Printer Template provides the administrator with a convenient selection of pre-defined actions to realize printer reliability.
Features & Additions	Text Detection	Let steadyPRINT search for specific words in the text of a document to start your workflow actions. For example, have stationery automatically be added to a document if it contains the word “invoice”.
Features & Additions	Application-based printer	The steadyPRINT VPD printer driver is able to determine from which application printing was initiated and to pass it through to the vFlow. This results in use cases based on the application name. Use it to adapt your workflow to the application from which you are printing: Printing from MS Word = print on recycled papar Printing from Banking App = mail dispatch to financial accounting Printing from ERP software = Print on letterhead

Features & Additions	Notification to Windows Notification Center, when mapping process is complete	A message should appear in the Windows Notification Center indicating that the mapping process has been completed. The background is that some applications should only be started when all printers are connected. This way the user has an indicator when this time is reached. The message is optional and can be enabled in the Agent profiles
Features & Additions	Free pages and basic price for calculation of printing costs	For the calculation of printing costs additional free pages and a basic price can be specified.
Features & Additions	Additional column for share name	The additional column for the share name now also allows to change it during the printer migration.
Features & Additions	Separately replicate printer settings	The integrated replication offers an additional option to separately replicate the printer settings. This avoids having to rebuild the printer completely on the migration print server every time. Especially for frequently changing printer settings, the process can thus be accelerated.
Features & Additions	Saving column settings	The steadyPRINT Center now has the possibility to save the column settings for the session and assignment view.
Features & Additions	Downward compatibility	With version 8.5.0 steadyPRINT now ensures backward compatibility for print jobs up to driver version 2.0 or steadyPRINT 7.5.
Features & Additions	Consideration of the print area of the native printer drivers	steadyPRINT VPD is now able to take the print area of the native printer drivers into consideration. This ensures optimum utilization of the available printing area of the respective printer. Truncated content or too large margins on the printout are thus a thing of the past.
Features & Additions	Conversion of PDF documents to PDF/A standard	The Client components now also support saving PDF documents in PDF/A standard.
Features & Additions	Managing the paper sizes of a printer	With the new version, the paper format can now also be managed and provided centrally.

Features & Additions	Support action “Redraw fonts”	The new support action “Redraw fonts” helps with the following problem: The applications responsible for rendering a document try to get the document as small as possible. This includes, among other things, integrating only those fonts or font parts that really appear in the document (font subsetting). Unfortunately, it happens from time to time that the optimization is too ambitious and therefore font definitions are missing in the document. This results in non-displayable characters on the printout. Via vFlow the above mentioned action can be included to correct the error as far as possible. It should only be used, however, after consultation with the steadyPRINT support.
Features & Additions	Driver configuration	The steadyPRINT vName is a freely configurable printer with VPD driver. Apart from the name, location and comment, it is also possible to configure an alternative driver. This is to ensure the best possible compatibility with users printing via vName.
Features & Additions	Additional notification option for new print jobs	So far, the steadyPRINT Server has received the notification for a new print job via Windows board means (DFS-R-Listener). With an additional option (internal) it is now possible to let steadyPRINT perform the notification itself. The latter offers the possibility to avoid possible delays in notification by the share and thus speed up print job processing.
Modifications	New action for page selction	The previously known page selection action has been replaced by the page selection in the new version 8.5. This allows a simplified and more intuitive selection of pages.
Bug Fixes	Installer: Files remain after uninstallation	Under certain circumstances it may occur that files remain in the installation directory after uninstallation. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	Installer: Userinit entry on terminal server might not be written	When installing the steadyPRINT Agent on a terminal server, the installer writes an entry in the userinit of the Windows registry to ensure the auto start of the steadyPRINT Agent at user login. For version 8.0 this entry might not have been written. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT Agent: Printing several jobs in a workflow via print job view not possible	Via the print job view of the steadyPRINT Agent, print jobs can be repeated and printed from batches. If several jobs are now selected at once and then sent to a workflow, only the first document is printed. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT Center: BranchOffice automapping for terminal server assignment automatically active	If an automatic BranchOffice assignment to a folder with IP filter is created in the steadyPRINT Center, the assignment option “(Dis)Enabled” is not set automatically. By default, BranchOffice printers should only be provided on workstations and not on terminal servers. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT Center: Center roles | Permissions are not applied to detail views of AD objects	The roles in the steadyPRINT Center and the stored permissions are not applied to the detail views of the AD objeces. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT Center: Center roles | ReadOnly mode for managing MAC addresses canno be used	If roles have been introduced in the steadyPRINT Center and the MAC address management has been configured in a way that some administrators have read-only access, this user group will no longer be able to work in the responsible window. Even scrolling in the list is no longer possible, for example. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT Center: Error message in dashboard after filtering and sorting	If the steadyPRINT Center Dashboard is filtered by a column and then sorted, an error message is displayed. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT Center: Context menu for “folder and printer” view incomplete	The “Folders and Printers” view in the steadyPRINT Center should provide the same context menu options as in the print environment tree. Among other things, this should simplify the printer information synchronization. The missing context menu was submitted later.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT Center: Replication | Bidirectional support is not accepted	The steadyPRINT Center offers integrated replication of print servers and their printers with the appropriate settings. When creating a port, the optional setting “Enable bidirectional support” is not applied. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT Center: Retrieving support informationen via the session overview opens support information window on Client	Retrieving support information via the session overview in the steadyPRINT Center opens the support information window on the Client. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT Center: Orphaned automappings when moving and deleting folders	In certain constellations orphaned automappings could occur when moving and deleting folders. These were still created by the steadyPRINT Agent, but they were no longer visible in the steadyPRINT Center. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT Center: vName assignment window shows no content	In rare cases, the vName assignment window may not display any content. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT vFlow: Center | Template is apparently discarded after saving	If a template is stored in the workflow for a print action, it works as expected. However, the selected template is no longer displayed after opening the action. This incorrectly suggests that the setting was not applied. This display problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT VPD: Printout of a PDF file in A3 format cut off	If the native manufacturer driver is used to print a PDF in A3 format, this will work correctly. If the VPD driver is used instead, the document is cut off. Only after a manual scaling the printout will work properly. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT VPD: Border of technical drawings is cut off	Printing to a VPD printer could result in truncated margins, especially on technical drawings. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT VPD: Printer does not apply Protected/Public template	In rare cases it could happen that templates were not applied during printing. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT VPD: Duplex printout from Word printed in simplex mode	Depending on the manufacturer, a duplex print is printed in simplex mode. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT VPD: Incorrect display on printout with user-defined format in Word	If a user-defined paper format is used for printing in Word, a display error may occur during printing. For example, a text that is centered on the page in Word will be printed at the top left margin. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT VPD: OutOfMemoryException when printing multipage PDF documents	In extremely rare cases, printing a multipage PDF could lead to a OutOfMemory exception. The printing process then stops unexpectedly. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT VPD: vFlow | Selection of own batch printers not possible in private workflow	If the user creates a private workflow and wants to integrate his own batch, this is only possible with the default batch. Other batches are not offered for selection. This problem has been fixed.
Bug Fixes	steadyPRINT: Reliability | steadyPRINT Agent does not respond to remapping push if the backup printer is in a different domain	The integrated reliability for steadyPRINT is often used. If the primary print server fails and is not in the same domain as the secondary print server, the steadyPRINT Agent does not respond to a remapping push. However, a manual remapping by the user or due to a session context change performed the process without any problems. This problem has been fixed.
