Release Notes steadyPRINT 7.0.2

steadyPRINT Bug Fixes in Version 7.0.2

Bug Fixes Description
steadyPRINT Center: Problems when editing tiles with the Agent designer In some cases an error occurred in the Center after editing the tiles via the Agent designer. This problem has been fixed.
steadyPRINT Center: MAC address cannot be deleted If a MAC address still has a printer assignment, it cannot be removed from the administration. This behavior has been adjusted in a way that first all linked assignments and then the MAC address itself will be deleted.
steadyPRINT Service: Service in Faulted Status Depending on the environment it happened that the communication channel between Agent and Service moved into the status “faulted”. As a workaround, the restart of the Service helped. This problem has been fixed.
steadyPRINT Agent: Integrated Agent opens via a simple click on the tray icon although forbidden as per performance profile The integrated Agent can be opened via a simple click on the tray icon although the configured performance profile does not allow this action. This problem has been fixed.
steadyPRINT Agent: Printer is not created although Windows API indicates “successful” In rare cases and depending on the environment it occurs that a printer connection does not exist although it has been created correctly according to the Windows API return value. An additional verification shall now guarantee that the printer connection really exists and that the procedure for connecting printers is repeated if necessary.
steadyPRINT Agent: Different default printer for users in local and terminal server session With version 7, the default printer behavior and its implementation have been completely revised. Currently it is not possible to assign different default printers for the same principal (user/computer/group) in a local and a terminal server session. This problem has been fixed.
steadyPRINT Agent: After cleaning the printers, settings get lost at the start Before cleaning the printers, the new Agent does not save the their settings which is why they get lost at restart.
steadyPRINT Reporting: Error when calculating the toner levels in the report “Printers with low toner level” In Reporting there was a problem with the calculation of toner level values. This problem has been fixed.
steadyPRINT Server: Mails are partly resent The notification of low toner levels was partly sent several times although the status remained unchanged. This problem has been fixed.
steadyPRINT VPD: Since Windows 10 Version 1709 printing from Microsoft Edge App no longer possible Since the Windows 10 Version 1709 Update it is no longer possible to use the App Microsoft Edge for printing. The reason for this is a missing SID. The currently still undocumented and thus unknown SID S-1-15-3-1024-4044835139-2658482041-3127973164-329287231-3865880861-1938685643-461067658-1087000422 ensures the printer access from Microsoft Edge. All VPD printers are subsequently adjusted in order to adjust the visibility of printers via the ACLs. The missing SID is now added by default.
