The workflow actions are stored in categories:

Logic: Actions for controlling the workflow process.
Adjustment: Actions that change the document.
Output: Actions with a document output.
Support: Special actions that should only be executed after consultation of the steadyPRINT Support, if possible.
Templates: Compiled actions for common applications (e.g. reliable printing) and referencing of individually built workflows.

Logic

The actions in this category control which actions are executed when on the document.

A workflow without an output action discards the print job and its document.

Saving to the file system:

Save the document to the file system and directly open the respective folder or file with the default program.

Sending by e-mail:

Send the document as an e-mail attachment.

Printing:

Print the document to a printer.

SecurePrint:

Sends the document to the SecurePrinter

Saving to batch:

Saves the document to the batch.

Saving to cloud:

Enable the user to have the document stored to the cloud.

Printing

Printing actions are only intended to print the document.

vPrinter:

Opens the vPrinter for further actions.

vName:

Print the document without assignment and without local availability of the vName printer with a template.

Virtual printing:

Print the document without assignment and without local availability of the printer with a template.

Default printer:

Print to the current default printer of the user.

User-defined printing:

The user can freely choose the printer.

Important

Only Output Actions Create Documents

Only the output actions create documents from the print job. A workflow without an output actions does not create a document. The print job from the program is discarded after the workflow is executed.

Templates

Templates are a set of pre-defined actions representing frequently occurring applicatons and individually built workflows that can be used again.

Reliable printing:

A target printer cannot be used, a replacement printer is to be used automatically.

Printing or sending by e-mail:

If the text search is successful, the user should be given the choice of whether to print the document or send it by e-mail. If the search was unsuccessful, the document should only be printed.

Workflow references:

Use a workflow that has already been created again in this workflow. This way, you can use workflows with certain settings again and again and adjustments have to be made only at one place.
