Description of the problem
We have noticed that with some printers the printer port is not correctly displayed. The IP port is displayed with „_1“ instead of the IP address or the DNS name. How can we fix this problem?
The resolution of the printer port is done by a query on the print server. As this requires administrative rights it might happen that this process fails. Running the steadyPRINT Center “as another user” with administrative rights for the print server will provide assistance.
Note: The resolution of port names is done during the import and in the interval of the information synchronization of the printers. The latter can also be initiated manually via the Center.
