Connecting printers takes a long time

Description of the problem

We have realized that it sometimes takes a long time to connect printers partly via steadyPRINT or via the Windows “devices and printers”-view. Moreover, the setting of the pre-defined default printer via steadyPRINT is delayed. After restarting the print spooler on the Client, the default printer is immediately set. Can you provide further assistance?

Do you trust this printer?

Description of the problem

When connecting a printer via the steadyPRINT Agent or the Windows “Devices and Printers” view, we receive the message “Do you trust this Printer?”. Users who are not administrator or main user of the concerned computer cannot install the printer. Is there a way to disable this message?

Description of the problem

steadyPRINT cannot be installed or the steadyPRINT Agent remains in offline mode and cannot communicate with the steadyPRINT database on the SQL Server.

In the event that printers in the steadyPRINT Center are shown twice, namely in a folder and the root-path of the print server, it might be that the option “Recognize printer connections manually added in Windows and automatically create a user assignment in steadyPRINT” is active in the settings under “printer connections”.
