Description of the problem
The steadyPRINT Agent is responsible for connecting printers on the Client. The assigned data from the database is analyzed and finally the respective printer connections are created. Generally this means that the steadyPRINT Agent is mandatory for the printer administration on the Client via steadyPRINT. Currently, there is no other way to provide printers.
Known Issue Version 6.1.3
Description of the problem
We are a company with more than 2000 users and the database is unnecessarily loaded due to the number of used steadyPRINT Agents. By default, the database is queried every 15 seconds to identify modifications to the printer configuration. Therefore, we configure the query values in the performance profiles as follows:
– Update printer connections: 86400 seconds (1x per day),
– Update session information: 86400 seconds (1x per day).
Unfortunately, the configuration of the values has not led to any improvements of the database performance. Could you please provide further assistance?
Description of the problem
We defined a local default printer for a specific computer via the steadyPRINT Center which, however, remains stored only for a certain period. Which settings do we have to make in order to keep the local default printer stored?
Description of the problem
We have set up and performed an automatic update via the steadyPRINT Center. Subsequently, the steadyPRINT Agents on the affected Clients switched to the offline mode (the tray went grey), an Agent update, however, did not take place.
Description of the problem
In some assignment scenarios it makes sense to make a printer available only to users of a restricted group of persons so that they can connect the printer independently. This article describes the filtering process based on a group assignment.

Why don’t I see any local printers and computer information in the inventory?
Description of the problem
Due to outdated entries in the session tables of the steadyPRINT database, outdated entries occur in the steadyPRINT Center component overview thus showing steadyPRINT Agents with old versions although they have already been updated on the indicated computers.
